About Kevin
Aloha!
Let me tell you a bit about myself.
I specialize in the treatment of narcissistic abuse, typically showing up in clients as PTSD and complex PTSD (or CPTSD).
I am nationally board-certified and licensed in Hawai’i and Pennsylvania as a psychotherapist.
I graduated from The Pennsylvania State University (Penn State), with an Associate of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) with a concentration in children, youth, and family services, and a Bachelor of Science degree in HDFS with a concentration in lifespan human services. I then completed a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.
I have experience working with couples, families, children, adolescents, and adult individuals, but I mostly work with adults in individual therapy currently.
I am a certified Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Clinician (NATC) and a certified clinical trauma professional, level 2 (CCTP-II). I specialize in working with womxn who have been abused by men, specifically narcissistic abuse.
I work with clients using many different techniques of counseling, and specifically use EMDR therapy to treat narcissistic abuse. I am a trauma therapist, but I also have specific training & experience working in intensive family therapy programs, substance abuse treatment, LGBTQ+ issues, but mostly in domestic violence and sexual assault, working with victims as well as with offenders.
I no longer work with offenders or perpetrators of abuse specifically, but my experience has provided unique insights into the minds of those who abuse. I prefer to work with those who have been the target of such abuse instead of working with abusers.
